When things don’t go according to plan…

We came back from our vacations happy and eager to begin a new working year and meet new students for our teacher training courses. However when we opened our doors we were greeted by an unexpected situation that was completely out of our hands and yet, we are doing our best to try and fix it now.

This year’s autumn rain was stronger than it usually is here in Barcelona, and it filtered inside our studio and flooded our beautiful bamboo floor! You can’t imagine how horrible it felt to see all that water accumulated at Yogalinda’s most important spot, the one where we walk without our shoes on and that we pamper every day to keep in shape. You just don’t know what’s best; either try to take the water out, call the insurance agency, or call all of our students and teachers and tell them what happened. So, the very first thing we did was the easiest one: we took a deep breath.

There are many circumstances in our lives that will always be out of our control, like the whims of nature. Yet, how can we take control of our stress and all the things that worry us? And the most important question, why do these things happen?

We need to face moments like these the best way possible, with our best attitude. We are on it. We know this is not the end of the world, yet it is something that saddens us deeply.

We feel very bad about not being able to have our students here with us, but we also know that their safety and well being are far more important. So, we have decided, instead, to remain closed just for a few weeks and open our doors once everything is settled. When will that be? We hope that it will be on the 30th of September, however, on the 29th we will still hold our Family Yoga class, with Javier Salinas, from 17:00-18:00h in our lobby.

There is some good news, however: the 25% discount promotion will be moved to October, and our students will have the chance to try on a brand-new bamboo floor!

Thank you for your patience. We will be informing you about any new developments.
