Week 1 Yoga Training

There are 9 girls in all on the yoga instructor training in Austria. The studio is situated in a small town call Bad Mitterndorf. It is surrounded by acres of green space, bike trails, lakes and mountains. We start our training at 6:25am. The studio is outside in a stone wooden building which makes the mornings freezing while we practise pranayana breathing and meditation. I wear a elf winter hat, socks and two blankets and I still feel cold. We do several pranayana techniques. After the breathing exercises on day 3 I noticed a dramatic difference in my yoga asanas. My breath was deeper making the movement more natural during practise.

We also started teaching right from the 1st day. Kinda like a no fear teaching approach. I should feel very comfortable teaching after the 4 weeks. We practise yoga 2 hours a day and teach at least an hour… there are several hours of theory and meditation as well.

I look forward to see what the next 3 weeks will bring.

  1. Hola guapa,

I’m so pleased to hear things are going well and that you’re already noticing what you’ve learned and feeling the benefits. Barcelona is hot and sticky right now… 28°C already in the morning… so I envy your cold mornings, ha ha!

Sending you loads of love and missing you tons!

  2. I’m really looking forward to have a yoga class with you when your back! I check in to see how it’s evolving. Sounds amazing. Good luck! Janna
