What is the difference between Bikram Yoga and Yogalinda hot yoga?

Bikram is a style of yoga.  Bikram is one style of hot yoga, not the only style of hot yoga.  Bikram yoga is a franchise which means every Bikram studio must teach the same 26 posture sequence every class and adhere to the guidelines set by the Bikram Organization.  Some of their guidelines include having carpet in their practise room, mirrors and a room temperature of 40°C.

Yogalinda hot yoga also has a practise room of 40°C but can change the temperature if necessary depending on the students needs. Yogalinda can offer classes without heat like during the Prenatal, Pranayama breathing workshops etc.  Yogalinda can teach several different styles of yoga, Hatha, Vinyasa, Yogilates, Yin all in the same room.  The class sequences change based on the instructors’ expertise and focus.  The practise room has bamboo flooring and Yogalinda is not a franchise.

Other styles of hot yoga include Baron Baptiste Power Hot yoga, Moksha Hot yoga, Absolute Hot yoga; these styles also offer a set sequence.
