PRESS RELEASE – Barcelona, Spain: October 2012 Welcomes New 40°C Hot Yoga Studio
Yogalinda, Barcelona’s second 40°C hot yoga studio, opens its door in the Port Olimpic neighbourhood October 15th. Bringing the Canadian yoga scene to Barcelona was Yogalindas’ Director, Heather Anderson’s dream.
“The purpose was to create an eco-friendly hot yoga environment with individual informative instruction, with a positive, open, free flowing space where students as well as teachers could further enrich their yoga practice both mentally and physically.”
Hot Yoga is very similar to traditional yoga styles. The principal difference is that the postures are practised in a studio temperature of 40°C, thus creating a more cardiovascular workout with a strong focus on breathing, alignment, flexibility and strength. The hot room warms the muscles right from the beginning of the practice so you are less likely to injure yourself. In addition, your muscles are more flexible so you are able to deepen your stretch in the postures. The euphoria after a hot yoga class is what keeps you coming back for more, not to mention the plus of losing weight, which is also a common ‘side effect’. The uniqueness of this studio is that it offers several styles of yoga in a 40°C room including hatha, vinyasa and even yogilates (yoga and pilates together).
In addition to yoga classes the studio offers a relaxing lounge with a yoga library where students can further their yoga knowledge on their own time. Yogalinda is happy to share their wonderful space with Sara, a trained Physiotherapist who has her own private treatment room in the studio. Yogalinda 40°C hot yoga is suitable for all levels of ability from beginner to advance.
Join us for a class and see why 40°C yoga is the new craze!
