Frequently Asked Questions – Hot Yoga Teacher Training

1.Is prior yoga teacher training required?

No. Prior Yoga Teacher Training is not required. This is the first level of a Yoga Teacher Training program known as a 200-hour level training.

2. I am not sure if I want to (or if I am ready) to teach Yoga but I am very interested in deepening my own understanding of this amazing path, am I still allowed to take this training?

Yes, absolutely! Many students immerse themselves in Yoga Teacher Trainings to deepen their own knowledge and understanding.

3. How accomplished with the Yoga poses do I need to be to qualify for this program?

We suggest approximately 1 year of Vinyasa Yoga experience before attending the training. However, if you have experience in another type of Yoga and are able to practice Vinyasa before the training starts that is ok too! We encourage students regardless of their physical ability or proficiency in the poses to attend. Yoga is a journey and not destination.

 4. When this is complete are you considered a certified Yoga teacher or does that require additional hours?

Upon completion of the program you will be a certified 200-hour level Yoga instructor. Yogalinda is a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance (YA) and our graduates are eligible to apply for Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) status. Registration with the Yoga Alliance is not mandatory. Once a student completes this training program they will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200 hour level (RYT 200).

5. What is Yoga Alliance?

Yoga Alliance is an American non-profit organization that “exists to confer credibility on qualified yoga teachers and schools so the public can have confidence in the quality of yoga instruction they receive”. Due to the popularity and growth of yoga in the United States and worldwide, the need for competent teachers and safe classes is apparent. Yoga Alliance sets standards, maintains a registry of yoga teachers whose training and experience meet these minimum standards, along with a registry of Yoga schools whose curriculum meet their minimum standards. 6. How intense is this training? Is it life changing?

Yes, this training is pretty intensive. Spending 28 days on yourself is definitely life changing. Please read Meagans blog to read about her experience from a student’s point of view about how it changed her life. During our last training there were a couple of ladies closer to 40 who commented to a young girl of 23 who had finished the training with them, that she was so lucky to do this training at such a young age as they felt it enriched their lives so much. So, as you can see it is intense and perfect for any age!

7. Is this Hot Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training the right choice for me?

Whatever choice you make, whatever school you choose it will be the right choice for you, the universe will support you in the decision. This training is an immersion into the practices and teachings of Yoga. All our teachers are passionate about Yoga and have decades of experience that they would love to share. Lezanne and Heather share a dynamic which provides a really different outlook onto the training that both spiritual and more practical students will enjoy.

8. What type of Yoga am I qualified to teach when I graduate?

Our program provides a strong foundation in Yoga and teaches frameworks for sequencing and alignment that allow our students to modify their classes according to the populations they serve. Our graduates teach in yoga studios, universities, retreat centers and privately. You will be certified to teach Vinyasa, Hatha and Hot Vinyasa and Hot Hatha Classes. You will also be qualified to use props such as blocks, straps and blankets in your teachings.

9. What is included in the course?

One month of free unlimited Hot Yoga before the course begins, during the course and one week after the course is completed. All manuals and notebooks. Document of certification upon completion of the course.

10. What is not included in the training?
